Role overview
We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to join our Product team/s. It is a hybrid role, and you will be responsible for managing a team and spending at least half of your time on the product code.
Responsibilities as a People Manager:
You will be responsible for the product development execution.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented software engineers
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders to align on product requirements and roadmaps
- Ensure quality, scalability, and resilience in all deliverables
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence
- Be the role model and champion of CAST AI core values.
Responsibilities as a Software Engineer:
You will be working in a highly skilled team and collaborating in a full development lifecycle.
- Scaling challenges
- Participate in feature brainstorming, requirement gathering and solving customer needs
- Design and architecture software, leveraging your experience to ensure scalability, maintainability and performance
- Write clean, maintainable and documented code using best practices and coding standards
- Ensure software reliability through test coverage and local testing
- Contribute to maintaining CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and alerting stack
- Respond to incidents to resolve customer issues or service disruptions
- Support team’s code (on-call week every few months)nd local testing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing and leading technical team
- Strong software engineering skills
- CI and git knowledge
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
