Role overview

CAST AI is seeking a highly skilled senior software engineer with deep expertise in containers and systems programming to join our team. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on a stealth project in the CTO’s office and join the newly formed team. 

• Experience with Linux environments and system programming
• Experience with containers
• Strong programming skills in Go
• Be comfortable reading C code
• This is Senior level Software Engineering role.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Deep knowledge of low-level Linux details process level and down including networking and filesystems.
• Proficiency in any statically typed programming languages - we write only in Go.
• Deep Kubernetes experience is a huge plus, as big part of the role is hacking Kubernetes to do what it was not intended to do.
• Experience with IaaS building blocks in any of AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with storage systems in Cloud File and Block based
• Experience with network stack, very comfortable with OSI layers, Software Defined Networks.
